I get that they are trying to please the old hardcore fans (I'm an old fan but not what I'd consider hardcore) but games have progressed a long way since then, they should have balanced the game and catered to the old guard whilst implementing quality of life features that you could use if you wanted to but are not penalised if you don't, everyone could have been happy. why not let us pay for several days up front ffs, so many issues and tedium had nothing to do with the budget, they just didn't implement any quality of life features, not everyone likes to pointlessly grind over and over again.
